On a warm Spring morning, two kids at the age of 8,
were playing in a garden filled with rose petals, unaware of each other just yet.
Until they eventually met up in the middle by accident.
The two kids said hello to each other.
The boy asked "What's your name?"
"Lily" the girl said.
"That's a wonderful name he replied".
"What's your name?" Lily asked.
"Severus" the boy replied."
"That's a bit of an unusual name, she said." "but i like it," she added quickly".

"What shall we do then?" Lily asked.
"Play in the rose filled petal garden. Until we find a flower, just as beautiful as your name." Severus replied.
Even at that young age. Lily already blushed, when he said sweet things to her. Just as if she knew, that there would be more between the two of them. "Okay" she said.
The kids searched for four hours. It was already heading towards dinner time. So they knew they had to hurry. After a 15 minutes search, Lily found one. She screamed excited, "look Severus what i found".
"wow", he gasped. "There you have it a wonderful flower, just as beautiful as your name and as yourself are", he flipped it out before he knew it.
They both blushed after what Severus had said. Severus knew by than too, that he felt more towards the girl than just friendship.

It was 5:00PM, now and the kids headed back to their home.
To their great surprise, they found out that they lived in the same street, just a few houses apart. Severus lived at number 12 and Lily at number 16. It was a street with only even numbers.
The kids looked surprised at each other. But they both liked it very much that they lived in the same street. "see you tomorrow than?", Lily asked.
Severus nodded and replied "Yeah, see you tomorrow".

The next morning

Lily woke up early in the morning, feeling extremely happy,
so happy that she felt as if she could float. Unaware of that she was actually floating, through the air, in a graceful way.

It wasn't until her mum called her for breakfast.
That she realised, she was actually floating through the air.
When she was snapped out of her wonderful feeling.
She came down with a  thud on the solid floor. She rubbed her bottom, and several tears started to trail down her cheeks,
she fought to hold them back, but she was unable to do so.
So she kept sitting a little longer in her bedroom, until the pain had faded enough, so that she didn't have to cry anymore.
She went down, hoping that her mum didn't see anything.
Her mum said nothing. So she looked in the mirror, and her red shot eyes were disappeared just as the tears that had trickled down her cheeks.
She started wondering; if she might have magical powers, where she was unaware of.
She decided to tell Severus later, when they would meet up again at the rose petal garden.

Severus, woke up quite early too.
He was extremely happy as well. In opposite to Lily, he knew that he was magical.
He floated through the air as well. It felt wonderful to him, a real pleasure.

His mum called him for breakfast. At that moment he snapped out, of that wonderful moment as well.
he hit the solid floor with a thud, he rubbed his bottom to ease the pain, it didn't work instantly. But after a rub of 6 minutes it had faded. He wasn't aware of he had been crying or not.
He was more concerned about his bottom. He just hoped that his mum wouldn't see what had happened to him. However the painful look in his eyes betrayed him. "sev, are you alright?"
"Yes, i am alright, thanks mum". "I just fell at my bottom that's all". His mum released sigh of relief.

At 11:00Am, he went to the rose petal filled garden. To meet up with Lily.
To his surprise he saw, that she was already there.
"Hello Lily". She looked up at the sound of her name.
"Oh, hello Severus, "I couldn't wait to come here".
"why not?" he asked. "Because i've got something to tell you".
"What is it?" "Well this morning when i woke up, I floated through the air, and it never happened to me before".

Severus started thinking. After a while he said "Do you believe in magic?" Lily nodded, and replied "i do". "Than i know what you are Lily" Severus said. "What am i, Severus?" " Your a witch Lily".  "I'm a what!?" "a witch Lily".
For the next couple of minutes, she sat in silence, wondering if there were magical people in her family. The only answer what came to her mind was no. Severus broke the silence by asking if she was alright.
"I'm fine, thanks Sev" she said. "I was just wondering if there were magical people in my family but the only answer that comes to my mind is no".
That's okay Sev said, there are also muggle born witches and wizards.
"Oh", she said in a surprised tone. Than before she knew it, she asked: "how do you know all that?". Sev answered "because i'm a wizard".  Lily was quiet for several minutes but than liked it and kissed him on the cheek. which made him blush.
